Israeli Sports Exchange

The Swimming Program:

During the summer of 2000, ISE took eight (8) swimmers to Israel.  They were trained by the prior Israeli national coach, competed in a local swim meet, toured Israel and were hosted by families in different parts of Israel.  The highlight of the competitive part of the trip came when the swimmers competed in the Israeli National Championship Meet.  Beth Adler, an ISE participant, almost touched-out the Israeli National Champion and Olympian in the 50 meter freestyle.

The group made lasting friendships and many of the Israeli kids who hosted the ISE participants came to the United States in April 2001 and were hosted by the families of many of the 2000 ISE swimmers.
